| Obverse description | Left-facing uniformed military bust of King Carol II wearing an elaborate plumed helmet, depicted in high relief with finely detailed regimental collar insignia visible at the truncation. The effigy is the work of sculptor Ion Jalea, whose incised signature appears in the lower field near the rim. A beaded inner border frames the design, with the circular legend CAROL II REGELE ROMANILOR (Carol II King of the Romanians) distributed around the periphery. |
