Obverse description The Zambian national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield charged with wavy horizontal lines representing the Victoria Falls, flanked by two human supporters — a man to the left and a woman to the right — each in traditional dress. Above the shield, crossed pickaxe and hoe surmounted by a fish eagle with wings displayed complete the full achievement of arms. A scroll below bears the national motto ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION. The legend ZAMBIA arcs along the upper periphery, while FIFTY KWACHA is inscribed along the lower periphery.
