Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate calligraphic tughra of Sultan Mehmed V (Mehmed Reşad), rendered in high relief with characteristic flowing loops and vertical shafts. A small Arabic inscription appears to the right of the tughra. The lower field features the regnal year in Arabic numerals within an ornamental cartouche, flanked by symmetrical olive branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The border is composed of a fine continuous ring of beads, with seven five-pointed stars evenly spaced around the upper periphery.
