| Reverse description | The reverse is entirely covered in multiple registers of elegant Ottoman Arabic calligraphy, filling the entire field in a dense, formal composition. An inner dotted border separates the central inscription from the surrounding peripheral legend, which runs continuously around the coin within a raised rim. The central text identifies the sultan by full titulature as son of Sultan Abdülmecid Khan, with the mint city of Constantinople (Kostantiniyye) and the Hijri accession year 1293 prominently inscribed. The phrase 'azza nasruhu' (may his victory be glorious) appears as a pious invocation. The inscription is executed in a refined naskh-derived Ottoman chancellery hand befitting a prestige issue. |
