Obverse description	Brown intaglio print on cream paper, with the Croatian state arms in a sunburst medallion at upper left and a large ornamental numeral '50' medallion at upper right, both flanked by interlaced Celtic-style knotwork panels in the left and right margins. The denomination 'PEDESET KUNA' is set in bold letterpress at centre, with the issuing authority 'NEZAVISNA DRŽAVA HRVATSKA' above, and the place and date of issue together with the minister's title printed in smaller type below; a facsimile signature of the Minister of National Economy appears at centre-bottom, with the serial number printed twice in red.

Reverse description	Brown and ochre intaglio print with a dense guilloche underprint of stylised floral and geometric vignettes arranged in a grid pattern across the entire field. The large numeral '50' dominates the centre, set above the word 'KUNA' in bold type, with 'NEZAVISNA DRŽAVA HRVATSKA' in a decorative panel at the top; denominator numerals '50' repeat in each corner and along all four borders in a continuous letterpress legend. At lower centre the printer's imprint 'Leipzig – GIESECKE & DEVRIENT – Berlin' is present. A separate geometric rosette device bearing the numeral '50' appears to the left of the main printed area.
