| Reverse description | The reverse carries an excerpt from the score of Sven-David Sandström's 'Picture and Orchestra' as a principal design element, accompanied by a vignette of a silver harp with notations of its tonal range. The background underprint consists of a stylised rendering of a Swedish landscape, providing a textured visual field across the note. |

Sweden's Riksbank introduced a revised 50 Kronor series in 2004 partly to address weaknesses in the earlier P#62 and P#63 issues, which had proven vulnerable to relatively unsophisticated counterfeiting operations during the late 1990s. The 2004 series added a revised watermark and improved paper specification, though by later standards the security package remained modest for a denomination in active everyday use.
Three signature combinations appear across the series run. The 2011-dated notes retain the Gernandt/Ingves pairing from 2008 — Ingves having taken the Riksbank governorship in January of that year and remaining in post well beyond this series' withdrawal.
