| Obverse description | Printed in blue-grey intaglio on a fine guilloche underprint, the obverse carries an oval portrait vignette of astronomer Ole Rømer at left, identified by a caption below, with the large numeral '50' at centre set within an elaborate oval guilloche pattern. To the right, an intaglio vignette shows the Round Tower (Rundetårn) in Copenhagen. The denomination 'FEMTI KRONER' appears in a bold serif band across the lower centre, with 'DANMARKS NATIONALBANK' at the foot and the statutory inscription 'UDSTEDT I HENHOLD TIL LOV AF 7. APRIL 1936' below the central numeral. Two facsimile signatures flank the central vignette, and the issue year appears at lower left. |
