| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Olav V in left-facing profile, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and facial features in a naturalistic sculptural style. The truncation of the bust shows the king in civilian dress. The engraver's initials 'Ø.H.' appear in small characters to the lower right of the portrait in the field. No peripheral legend surrounds the effigy, giving the design a clean, medallic character. |
