Obverse description Danish 50 Krone note adapted for Faroese circulation by means of a red letterpress overprint reading "Kun gyldig paa Færøerne / Færø Amt, Juni 1940. Hilbert", applied across the face of the original Danmarks Nationalbank issue. The note retains the royal crown vignette at top center and bears a stamped countersignature below the overprint. Denomination numerals "50" appear at lower corners flanking the central design.

Reverse description The reverse is dominated by the National coat of arms of the Kingdom of Denmark — a quartered shield bearing three crowned blue lions passant with nine red hearts, set within an elaborately engraved wreath of oak and acanthus foliage rendered in green and ochre tones. A royal crown surmounts the shield, and the denomination inscription arches across the upper portion of the design in bold serif lettering, with numeral "50" repeated at lower left and right.
