Peter Christen Asbjørnsen, the folklorist who co-collected Norway's defining body of fairy tales, anchored this denomination for nearly two decades — an unusually long run for a Norges Bank series. The note was printed in-house at Norges Bank Seddeltrykk in Moss, the facility that handled all Norwegian banknote production before it was wound down in 2014, which makes the 2015-dated issues among the last notes the press ever produced.
Four governor pairings across nineteen years reflects genuine institutional continuity rather than serial reissue — each signature combination corresponds to a distinct print run rather than a redesign.
