Slovakia's millennium commemorative 50 Korún was issued to mark the year 2000, making it one of the few Slovak korún notes with an explicitly commemorative purpose rather than a routine series replacement. BA International in Ottawa handled the printing — the same firm behind a significant portion of Canadian federal currency at the time, operating under various corporate names across its long history before its eventual closure in 2012.
Ron Beckers' engraving work is the technical highlight here. His intaglio line work on Slovak issues of this period is notably fine, and this note benefits from that precision in ways the security specifications alone don't convey.
