| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark green-black on cream paper and divided into two lateral panels, each containing an octagonal landscape vignette — the left showing a rural scene with birch trees and a hillside, the right a riverside village with a church steeple in the distance. A central cartouche in the Jugendstil manner carries the hand-lettered text 'Notgeld der Gemeinde Windegg' framed by scrollwork and interlaced geometric ornament. Denomination numerals '50' appear in all four corners, with the word 'HELLER' repeated at the midpoints of each side; a faint circular municipality stamp is visible to the right of the central panel. |
