| Obverse description | Pink-tinted note with a crosshatch guilloche underprint across the full field, enclosed by a fine letterpress border. The central vignette presents a pen-and-ink style illustration of the Steegenhof farmstead as it appeared in the 17th century, with a mounted armoured knight at right and cypress trees in the middle ground, inscribed with the date "1696" at lower left. The issuer title "Gutschein der Gemeinde Steegen" runs across the top in Gothic blackletter script, with denominational shields in the upper left and upper right corners bearing "Heller" and "50" respectively. |
