| Obverse description | Teal-blue Notgeld printed in letterpress on plain paper, with an ornate foliate border enclosing the full design. At centre, an oval cartouche surmounted and flanked by acanthus scrollwork contains a vignette of Saint Nicholas in bishop's vestments and mitre within a boat — an allusion to the patron saint of the issuing locality. Denomination numerals '50' appear in each corner, with the text arranged in Gothic (Fraktur) script throughout. |
