Obverse description Brown letterpress Notgeld note framed by a geometric border of repeating triangular and chevron ornamental motifs along all four edges. The central vignette presents the coat of arms of Schlägl surmounted by a bishop's mitre and crosier, with crossed tools in the lower quarters and a small devotional figure at centre, rendered in a bold woodcut graphic style. Denomination numerals '50' appear at upper left and upper right flanking 'HELLER' at top centre, with the issuer name and locality 'SCHLÄGL' inscribed along the lower border.
