Obverse description Plain cream-coloured note printed in olive-yellow, enclosed within a double-rule border. The issuer name 'Gemeinde Ranshofen' and the word 'Gutschein' appear at the top in roman type, flanked at each corner by the numeral '50'. The denomination is rendered in large ornate blackletter script across the centre of the note. Below, a six-line letterpress text in German states the municipality's redemption obligation valid from 15 to 30 November 1920, followed by the signature line of the Bürgermeister and an anti-counterfeiting warning, with the printer's imprint at the foot.

Reverse description The reverse carries a finely drawn landscape vignette in olive-yellow tones, enclosed within a double-rule border. A panoramic view of Ranshofen is rendered in a sketchy, hand-drawn artistic style, with rolling meadows and a winding path in the foreground leading toward a cluster of trees and buildings dominated by a slender church steeple against a clouded sky. The place name 'RANSHOFEN' is inscribed at the upper left in block lettering, the denomination '50 h' appears at the upper right, and the artist's signature 'v. Prun 1920' is noted in the lower right corner.
