Obverse description A full-width landscape vignette rendered in fine letterpress line work presents the ruined stone arch viaduct of the Linz–Budweis horse-drawn railway, framed by conifers and foliage. Denomination numeral '50' appears in bold type within ornamental cartouches at upper left and upper right, all enclosed within a decorative floral border. Below the vignette, the inscription 'Pferdebahn-Viadukt-Ruine' flanks the construction and demolition dates '1835' and '1872', with 'LINZ – BUDWEIS.' centred beneath.

Reverse lettering Die Gemeinde Rainbach bei Freistadt in Oberösterreich gibt laut Beschluß vom 13. Juni 1920 Gutscheine im Gesamtbetrage von 100.000 K aus und haftet für die Verbindlichkeit, diesen Gutschein in der Zeit vom 15. bis 31. Dezember 1920 bei der Gemeindekasse in gesetzlichem Bargeld einzulösen.
