| Obverse description | Printed in brown on cream paper, the obverse is framed by a decorative border with a dotted outer rule and an inner band of Art Nouveau scroll ornaments. A central circular vignette presents a letterpress view of the Pernau parish church and adjoining building, rendered with fine line detail. The denomination numeral '50' appears in large gothic figures within lateral panels — the left panel containing a tree and eagle column motif, the right a commemorative pillar — while the issuer legend 'GEMEINDE PERNAU-O.Ö.' runs across the top in bold gothic lettering, and the value inscription '50 · FÜNFZIG HELLER · 50' is set below the central vignette; the designer's name 'KARL STUMPFIG' appears in small text at the lower right. |

| Reverse description | The reverse, printed in brown on plain cream paper, is enclosed within a simple single-rule rectangular border. The text is set entirely in letterpress: the edition notice '1. Auflage.' appears at the upper left, followed by the large bold heading 'Gutschein' and the subtitle 'der Gemeinde Pernau.' A block of justified German text states the voucher's non-interest-bearing terms, its acceptance by the municipality until 31 October 1920, and its redeemability in legal tender between 15 and 31 October 1920, along with a counterfeiting warning. The Bürgermeister's printed signature 'Josef Himmelfreundpointner' appears at the lower right, and the printer's imprint 'K. DUSL, WELS.' is set at the foot of the note. |
