| Obverse description | Printed in dark red on cream paper, the obverse carries a detailed pictorial vignette of the local townscape at centre, identified by the caption 'Gemeinde-Amt — Memelmajer's Gasthaus', with the Pfarrkirche Pöstlingberg church and hillside settlement vignette at upper left. To the left stands a figure of a workman in traditional dress, rendered in fine letterpress line engraving, framed by floral and berry garland motifs. The denomination '50 Heller' appears within an ornate circular wreath cartouche at upper right, with the issuer name 'Lichtenberg' rendered in large Gothic blackletter script along the lower margin; the designer's name 'Hugo Gielope' is inscribed in the lower right corner. |
