Obverse description Brown and grey letterpress Notgeld note with the issuer's name 'Stadtgemeinde Kitzbühel' in Gothic script across the upper left. To the upper right, the municipal coat of arms bears a chamois figure with the date '1183'. The denomination '50 Heller' is set within a decorative cartouche at centre left, while a woodcut-style vignette of the Kitzbühel parish church with its twin towers occupies the right half of the note. Redemption text, the issue date of 15 September 1920, and the facsimile signature of Bürgermeister H. Hirnaberger appear in the lower portion.
