| Obverse description | Letterpress-printed in red-brown on cream paper, the obverse centres on a ruled cartouche enclosing a vignette of the celebrated Tyrolean bird-seller ('Vogelhändler von Imst'), shown striding through an alpine landscape with caged birds on his back and a walking staff in hand, a church steeple and mountain panorama visible behind him. Denomination panels inscribed '50 HELLER' are set in bold type within ruled frames at left and right, with the Tyrolean eagle coat of arms at lower left and the town arms of Imst at lower right.
