| Obverse lettering | Fünfzig 50 Heller Gutschein der Stadt Eferding 1920 |
| Reverse description | The reverse, also printed in rose-pink, presents a central vignette of Eferding as it appeared during the Peasants' War, captioned 'Eferding zur Zeit des Bauernkrieges,' flanked by two allegorical figures in historicist costume set within decorative circular cartouches bearing the numeral '50' at each corner. A multi-line legal text in Gothic script across the upper portion states the municipality's liability and redemption conditions, concluding with the mayor's signature line and an anti-counterfeiting warning. The printer's imprint 'Langhammer, Linz' appears at the bottom margin. |

One of hundreds of Austrian Notgeld issues produced in the aftermath of WWI, when the collapse of the Habsburg monetary system left municipalities scrambling to cover small-denomination shortfalls. Eferding, a small Upper Austrian market town on the Danube west of Linz, commissioned its local Notgeld from Langhammer in Linz — a sensible choice given the distance to Vienna and the urgency of the situation.
The Jaksc/Pick reference suffix "4i" indicates this belongs to a sub-series variant, worth distinguishing from the other Eferding 50 Heller types catalogued under the same root number.
