Reverse description The Haitian coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a palm tree flanked by two cannons on wheeled gun carriages, with six Haitian flags arranged symmetrically on either side. Two cannons rest at the base of the composition alongside cannonballs, and a scroll below the central device bears the motto L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE. The legend LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE curves along the upper periphery. Below the arms, the denomination 50 GOURDES and the date appear in bold numerals, with the IC mintmark visible at lower right and the engraver's mark at lower left. The design is enclosed within a beaded border.
