| Obverse description | A large, naturalistically rendered Cedar of Lebanon occupies the central field, its broad canopy spreading nearly to the beaded border. Beneath the tree, a rectangular cartouche bears the Arabic legend of the issuing authority, flanked on either side by the date rendered in both Western and Arabic-Indic numerals. Below the cartouche, the Latin legend REPUBLIQUE LIBANAISE is inscribed in two lines across the lower field. The composition is bold and emblematic, typical of the French engraving tradition of the interwar period. |

| Reverse description | Two cornucopias, abundantly filled with fruits and grain, are arranged symmetrically and crossed at their bases in the central field, with bunches of grapes hanging at either side. Between the lower ends of the cornucopias, a decorative element anchors the composition. Above the crossed horns, the denomination is expressed in Arabic script and Arabic-Indic numerals along the upper field. The numeral 50 in large Western digits appears prominently in the lower field, with the legend PIASTRES inscribed beneath it. The reverse is enclosed within a beaded border. |
