| Obverse description | Central field features the national coat of arms of Burundi surrounded by a richly colourized nocturnal jungle scene rendered in fine detail. The issuing bank name appears in legend above the central design in both Kirundi and French. Below the coat of arms, the weight, denomination, and silver fineness are inscribed. Tropical foliage rendered in gilt relief frames the corners of the rectangular flan. All inscriptions are in Latin script. |

| Additional information |
Burundi has issued an extended run of large-format silver coins under the "Jungle at Night" branding since the mid-2010s, typically produced by the Bavarian State Mint or third-party European minting houses under license. The Republic itself has no domestic minting facility.
KM#93 places this squarely in a collector series rather than any circulating issue — Burundi's actual monetary needs are met by the Burundian franc in small denominations that see heavy wear. These 50-franc silver pieces exist entirely for the numismatic export market.
