Obverse description Three giant elands (Taurotragus derbianus) striding to the left in high relief, their elongated spiral horns overlapping dramatically across the field, with stylized savanna grasses rendered below. The engravers' signature 'GB·L·BAZOR' appears incuse in the right field. The date is inscribed in the lower exergual area. A circular legend surrounds the design, reading 'BANQUE CENTRALE' at top and listing the four member states at the periphery.
