Comments

Belgian military payment certificates issued under the Armée Belge / Belgisch Leger designation were produced for use by Belgian forces in the immediate postwar occupation zones in Germany. The dual French-Flemish titling reflects the army's bilingual administrative structure rather than any regional issue distinction. These notes circulated in a narrow window — occupation scrip had a short functional life once formal Allied currency arrangements stabilized, and redemption campaigns were thorough.

Surviving examples in any condition are less common than the series' modest historical profile might suggest.
