| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Albert II of Belgium in left-facing profile, rendered in a bold, modern sculptural style engraved by Jan Alfons Keustermans. The portrait features finely detailed hair swept back and a strong jawline, with the king shown in civilian dress with a collar visible at the truncation. The legend 'ALBERT II' is inscribed in incuse letters along the lower field beneath the portrait. The design is set against a flat, unadorned field within a raised rim. |
