| Reverse description | Allegorical intaglio composition in blue tones: a nude child reaches up toward a fruit-laden tree at left, while a seated woman in traditional North African dress spins thread at right, a basket of fruit arranged at her feet. Two hexagonal blank panels occupy the left and right centre, and a fine guilloche border frames the entire design. |

The Banque de l'Algérie operated under direct oversight of the Banque de France, and this note reflects that relationship in the most literal way possible — it was physically produced in Paris by the Banque de France's own printing workshops, using intaglio techniques common to metropolitan French issues of the period. Romagnoli was among the more accomplished engravers working for that atelier in the early twentieth century, and his hand shows in the quality of the line work.
Pick 79 is one of the earlier confirmed printings to carry both Duval's design credit and Romagnoli's engraver mark together on an Algerian issue.
