Additional information

The Bahrain Currency Board, established in 1964 to manage the dinar introduced that year, was superseded by the Central Bank of Bahrain in 2006 — making the issuing authority named on this coin technically obsolete before the series even began. Coins continued to carry the Currency Board attribution well into the 2010s, a bureaucratic lag not uncommon in Gulf states during institutional transitions.
