Obverse description A muscular male figure, representing a blacksmith in the Socialist Realist style, is depicted seated upon an anvil in three-quarter view, bare-chested with working trousers, conveying themes of industrial labour. The figure occupies the central field, rendered in bold high relief with confident, stylised modelling characteristic of mid-20th century Hungarian coinage. The circumferential legend MAGYAR · NÉPKÖZTÁRSASÁG (Hungarian People's Republic) runs along the upper and right periphery in Latin characters. The date of issue appears in the lower exergual area, below the seated figure.
