| Obverse description | Central field bears four large Chinese ideograms arranged in a cruciform reading top to bottom and right to left, flanked by Manchu script characters at centre. The entire composition is enclosed within a surrounding border of additional Chinese ideograms forming the denominational and reign-title legend. The design reflects the bilingual imperial convention of the late Qing dynasty, combining Chinese and Manchu scripts as required by court protocol. |

| Reverse description | A finely detailed coiled imperial Chinese dragon occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with scales, claws, and a flame-encircled pearl beneath its chin, with cloud and scroll motifs filling the surrounding field. The dragon faces forward with head prominent at centre, its sinuous body curling clockwise. A beaded inner border frames the design, and the circumferential Latin legend reads 'SZECHUEN PROVINCE' at the top arc and '3 MACE AND 6 CANDAREENS' along the lower arc, separated by small six-pointed star stops at each side. |
