| Reverse description | A finely detailed imperial five-clawed dragon dominates the central field, depicted in high relief facing forward with its body coiled and tail sweeping to the lower left. A flaming pearl is positioned beneath the dragon's head at the centre of the design. Clouds and stylized flames surround the dragon, rendered in the elaborate late Qing artistic tradition. The circular English legend is distributed around the periphery, with 'PEKING' at the top and '3 MACE AND 6 CANDAREENS' continuing around the lower half. A beaded border runs along the outer rim. |
