Obverse description Central incuse yin-yang symbol enclosed within a square frame of four Chinese ideograms, arranged to be read top to bottom and right to left, denoting the issuing province, regnal year, and emperor's name. An additional ring of Chinese inscriptions surrounds the inner square, indicating the denomination and weight standard. The overall design is flat and deeply engraved, with the inscriptions occupying nearly the entire obverse field in a formal, rectilinear arrangement typical of late Qing provincial coinage.
