| Obverse description | Against a deeply mirrored proof field evoking a night sky, the full-length figure of the Little Prince stands to the right in the centre of the design, rendered in frosted relief after the style of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's original illustrations. He extends his right arm outward while his left hand rests at his side, dressed in his characteristic long coat and scarf. A crashed biplane lies in the desert landscape occupying the lower left field, with stylised sand dunes receding into the background. A radiant sun with wavy rays appears at the upper centre, the cursive legend LE PETIT PRINCE arcs along the upper left border, and the Republican monogram RF is prominently displayed in the lower centre field, with the trademark notation LPP TM incused at lower right. |
