| Obverse description | The obverse features the coat of arms of the Central Bank of Malta at center, comprising a heraldic shield bearing a key and a cross, supported by two armoured knights standing as dexter and sinister supporters, each armed with a sword and a staff respectively. A mural crown surmounts the shield, and a ribbon below bears the motto FIDUCIA FORTIS with the founding year 1968. The radiant sunburst field is flanked by two eight-pointed Maltese cross motifs. The legend CENTRAL BANK OF MALTA arcs along the upper periphery, with the denomination 50 EURO prominently displayed in the lower field. |
