| Obverse description | Central field depicts an allegorical female figure of Hispania in a neoclassical style, shown reclining in three-quarter view, her head crowned and turned to the right, extending her left arm forward to hold an olive branch; the figure rests against a draped background suggestive of a landscape. The peripheral border is divided into an inner beaded ring enclosing a dark annular field bearing the circumferential legend, and an outer ring of twelve five-pointed stars representing the European Union. The date 2007 appears in the lower exergual area between two groups of stars. |
