Obverse descriptionIn a concentric circle parallel to the listel, forming a crown, the twelve stars of the European Community. In the heart, the monogram of the reigning sovereign, Prince Albert II of Monaco. The monogram consists of two letters `A` in English writing, one pointing right, the other pointing left and surmounted by the princely crown, and above, `MONACO`. Under the monogram, the year surrounded by the different of the Monnaie de Paris, institute of striking of the Monegasque coins and the different of the general engraver of coins.
