Obverse description Central effigy of John the Blind (Jean l'Aveugle / Jang de Blannen), Count of Luxembourg and King of Bohemia, depicted standing in full regalia beneath an elaborate Gothic architectural canopy with stylised tracery and pinnacles. The king is shown crowned, draped in royal robes, and holding a sceptre, rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. An inner beaded border separates the central device from the surrounding legend. The abbreviated Latin royal title 'BOH MOR' IOH' REX' appears vertically in the field to either side of the canopy, while the outer legend reads 'JEAN L'AVEUGLE 1296-1346 JANG DE BLANNEN', with the date '1996' inscribed in the lower exergue.
