Obverse description The coat of arms of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic occupies the central field, depicting a double-headed eagle with spread wings surmounted by a royal crown, superimposed over a radiant sunburst. The eagle's breast is charged with a shield bearing a depiction of the Gandzasar Monastery and a traditional Armenian stepped ornament. Flanking the base of the arms are sprigs of wheat to the left and a grape cluster with vine leaves to the right, symbols of the region's agricultural heritage. The legend 'NAGORNO-KARABAKH' arcs along the upper rim in Latin script, with the Armenian inscriptions 'ԼԵՌՆԱՅԻՆ ՂԱՐԱԲԱՂԻ ՀԱՆՐԱՊԵՏՈՒԹՅՈՒՆ' and 'ԱՐՑԱԽ' appearing on a banner across the upper portion of the arms, and 'REPUBLIC' inscribed along the lower rim.
