| Obverse description | Central design features a standing uniformed soldier in full military dress and helmet, positioned before a large spread-winged Phoenix rising from stylized flames, symbolizing the rebirth of Greece under the military junta. The Phoenix dominates the field with its wings fully outstretched. The engraver's signature E. ΚΕΛΛΑΪΔΗΣ appears at lower right of the central device. The date legend is inscribed in two lines in the exergue: 21 ΑΠΡΙΛΙΟΥ above 1967, commemorating the date of the colonels' coup d'état. |

| Reverse description | The crowned royal arms of Greece occupy the center of the field, displaying a quartered shield bearing the Greek cross in white on blue, surmounted by a royal crown with pearled arching. Two heroic male figures in classical style, each holding a staff or lance, serve as supporters flanking the shield on either side and standing upon a horizontal base. The circular legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ runs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 50 ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ is inscribed across the lower field in two lines. |
