Obverse description Left-facing helmeted bust of Minerva, goddess of wisdom, rendered in high relief with finely detailed classical features and flowing hair beneath a crested Corinthian helmet adorned with a laurel branch. The effigy is set within a raised beaded inner border, with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST inscribed in the field to the upper left of the bust. The outer legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA arcs along the upper periphery, while MCMXV appears in Roman numerals across the lower field and FIFTY DOLLARS runs along the lower border, all separated by raised dots.
