| Obverse description | The obverse features a boldly sculpted high-relief depiction of a flamingo in a characteristic feeding posture, its long neck curved downward toward the water and its distinctive hooked bill nearly touching the surface. The bird's elongated legs stand amid stylized rippling waves rendered in the lower field. To the right, an inset circular cartouche bears the arms of the Republic of Liberia — a shield surmounted by a sailing vessel, flanked by palm trees — with the legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA arcing above, the date 2024 flanking the shield, and FIFTY DOLLARS inscribed below.
