| Obverse description | The obverse features a dramatic double high-relief composition dominated by a large, intricately detailed Chinese dragon rendered in the traditional East Asian style, its sinuous body coiling across the entire field amid stylized clouds and waves. At the upper centre, a small inset medallion bears the uncrowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, flanked by the dates 1952 and 2022, referencing her reign. The legend ELIZABETH II is incised along the left rim and D. G. REGINA along the right rim, both in raised Latin characters. The date 2024 appears in the lower exergue, and the designer's initials SN are present in the field. The background field is enlivened by fine wavy line engraving evoking water and sky. |
