| Obverse description | The obverse of this rectangular gold bar-coin features the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted in right-facing profile with a diadem and flowing hair. The portrait is rendered in high relief at the center of the polished field and is encircled by the Latin legend 'ELIZABETH II · NIUE 2015' arching above and '· 50 DOLLARS ·' below. The engraver's initials 'IRB' appear beneath the portrait. In the lower left corner of the field, the mint mark and fineness designation 'Au 9999' are inscribed.
