The legend ELIZABETH II arcs across the upper portion of the gold outer ring, with COOK ISLANDS continuing to the right, all within the ring field. The date 1997 appears in the lower portion of the gold ring below the inner circle border. The initials RDM, attributing the portrait to Maklouf, are present on the obverse. |
