| Obverse description | Incuse effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, after the portrait by Susanna Blunt, wearing a pearl necklace and drop earrings, her hair swept up in a chignon. The rhodium-plated matte field creates a dramatic dark contrast against the polished raised portrait. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper rim, while the denomination 50 DOLLARS and the date 2020 are inscribed along the lower arc.
