| Obverse description | Right-facing diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, occupying the central field with a high-relief proof finish against a mirror background. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left periphery, while NIUE ISLAND arcs along the upper right, separated by floral ornaments. The denomination 50 DOLLARS and the date 2018 are inscribed along the lower periphery, also separated by a floral ornament. The designer's initials IRB appear below the truncation of the neck, and the Czech Mint mark CM is visible near the left shoulder. |
