Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, drop earring, and pearl necklace, as modelled by engraver Raphael David Maklouf. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left field and COOK ISLANDS along the right field, both in raised Latin characters. The Pobjoy Mint privy mark appears below the truncation of the neck. The date 1990 is inscribed in the lower exergue.
