| Reverse description | A piedfort tribute to the historic 1855 Sydney Mint Type I Sovereign design, reissued here under the authority of the Perth Mint. The central design features the St. Edward's Crown surmounting a laurel wreath, faithfully reproducing key heraldic elements of the original issue. The numeral 165, denoting the 165th anniversary of the original Sydney Sovereign, appears within an oval cartouche in the field. The peripheral legend reads PERTH MINT AUSTRALIA SOVEREIGN, with the anniversary figure 165 incorporated into the overall composition. |
